There are sections for IBM, CA and Compuware tools, but there are many other manufacturers of tools for the mainframe. Where are those to be discussed.
Also in the JCL FAQ it says that questions about sequencing of jobs are now forbidden, but I have not found a place where automation/scheduling as a generalized topic is to be discussed. |

That's what the "Other Mainframe Topics" forum is for. I'm sure that the site admins would be receptive to other vendors who might want a dedicated forum for their product(s).

Topics regarding "write your own" job schedulers are prohibited, but I'm personally not aware of any restrictions regarding generic job scheduling topics, although I'm not sure how any topic regarding that process wouldn't have to take the actual job scheduling system being used into consideration. |
