SYSIN DD
specifies a DDNAME for the input data statement in a job step. If a catalogued procedure is invoked and no SYSIN DD statement is provided, a SYSIN DD statement is generated automatically. The generated SYSIN DD statement applies to the first step of the catalogued procedure. Therefore, when invoking a one-step catalogued procedure, no SYSIN DD statement is necessary.
