eazytrieve program ( to add a new column and sort )

Hi Friends,

I m new to eazytrieve.

Pls look over the following report.

names place ........

aaaa xxxxx
bbbb yyyyy
cccc zzzzzz
dddd ppppp

I Have to modify the above report like this.
a) I have to add a new column class
b) Based on the class and names i have to sort and print the report. and
class name has to print only once. corresponding to that class , all
names have to be displayed.

class names place..........

FIRST aaaa xxxxx
ccccc zzzzzz
second bbbb yyyyy
dddd ppppp

If any one can help , please send the modifications to do it.

the above reports are not clear

first report.
Name Place
Aaaa Hyd
Bbbb Secun
Cccc Secun
Dddd kurnool

New report has to look like this.

Class Name place
First Aaaa Hyd
Cccc Secun
Second Bbbb Secun
Dddd kurnool

where in first class aaaa,cccc names exits and
in second class bbbb,dddd names exist.

Hi,

u have to change your report statement

REPORT REPORT1 LINESIZE .. +
CONTROL class

u need to add control statement in ur report statment..

* CONTROL - identifies control fields used for a control report. A
control break occurs whenever the value of any control field
changes or end-of-report occurs.

It will be better if you give me ur report statement of ur program so that i can tell u where u need to change
