Note: I've been retired a number of years now and no current access to a mainframe. I'm drawing this mostly from memory (and some saved notes) so let me know if I've screwed something up and if this is all really common knowledge now and not really relevant, I apologize. Just hoping to pass on some good "stuff" while I still can.
When I had to review JCL that had imbedded commented lines that were meaningless to my efforts and convoluted trying to read, I had a PF key (my PF23) set with:
x '//*' 1 all
Executing that PF Key would remove all the commented lines making the rest of the JCL a lot easier to read. Reset turns them all back loose again. |
