Hi Friends
I changed one CICS program to set attribute of one of the fields to MDT ON. I recompiled the module only (NO MAP) and Newcopied and everything worked. However after a few days the screen stopped working and error APCT abend started happening.
The only significant thing which happened in between is the IPL on our MF system. I guess that would pick the default PCT entries from the libraries which are actually defined, and hence my change was lost somewhere., but I am not able to understand the whole scenario.
For above change do I need to Reassemble corresponding MAP as well and the Newcopy that before I newcopy the CICS program.
Thanks

PCT entries are not 'picked' from the libraries. They are either defined via RDO, in which case they would need to be in a group contained in the GRPLIST at CICS startup in order to be installed in a COLD start (WARM/EMER start will retain definitions dynamically installed). You probably had a COLD start after the IPL
If not defined via RDO, they could be autoinstalled if autoinstall is active but I suspect this is not the case.
