Hello guys,
I tried to install omegamon for cics v 5.3 and when I tried to run omeg init on cics, I got this message :
OC1021 OCOMEG MVS 7.2.2 AND CICS 7.0.0: UNSUPPORTED ENVIRONMENT
The installation book says cics/mvs version should support this cics/mvs version.
can anyone guide me? |

| CICS is up to V6.1 now so perhaps that's why. V5.3 CICS is quite old now |

I understood that the product in question is "omegamon for cics", which is different than either CICS or regular Omegamon.
But I think the general point of 'quite old now' is still accurate. I seem to recall that IBM only maintains three releases of a product. Per the internet, Omegamon for CICS is up to 5.6, so also 5.4 and 5.5 are supported. 5.3 will not be updated to tolerate newer releases of CICS.
Message OC1021 only says to look at the program directory to see what is supported. |
