Great, RTFM, understand (probably) how it works, but can anyone tell me how to delete a dataset that already exists?

I can probably do a FETCH for BPXWDYN, and let that do the job, but just PL/I would be very much preferred.

Reason: I want to replace a REXX edit macro with PL/I as the REXX is, how shall I express it politely, slow as a snail on a sedative.
