Does anyone have a link to a reference manual for this product?
We use it extensively.
Here is a sample execution:
Code:
//S010     EXEC PGM=MEMOAPIX,PARM='MSGLVL=0'
//APIPARM  DD DSN=SYS4.MEMOAPI.PARMLIB,DISP=SHR
//APIFILE  DD *
)SEND
  TITLE   'SEND MEMO'
  ETITLE  'Sending a memo from a batch job'
  DEST    steve.coalbran@nordea.com
  OPTION  FORCE
  OPTION  NOSNDREF
  OPTION  NOEXPRL
  LINESIZE 080
  MEMO    APIMEMO
)END
//APIMEMO  DD DISP=(SHR,PASS),DSN=N472730.USER.JCL(MEMOAPI1)
//APIOKLOG DD SYSOUT=*,DCB=(BLKSIZE=121)
//APIERLOG DD SYSOUT=*,DCB=(BLKSIZE=121)

I'm not even sure who makes(/made) it! icon_surprised.gif

Zero hits on Google (other than the one pointing to this page) tells me that you may be dealing with an in-house 'product'.

As far as I remember its called MEMO/API. It's not an inhouse product, it's a commercial product. So if you are using it manuals should be present.

Thanks for the many unhelpful posts on this topic. icon_rolleyes.gif
There is no information in the load module, the first place I looked.
I discovered from the IBM software group supporting Nordea on this that they have the product listed as "Vendor/version: MEMO V6.7.1 (c) Copyright Technology Nexus AB, 2002". On contacting Nexus, their support group suggested I contact: "Verimation AB" at neon.support@verimation.se.
This I have done but not (as yet) received any response.

It would be nice that you indicated the unhelpful posts. So the the culprits could change their behavior to more helpful.

I have just received a reply from "Verimation AB" at neon.support@verimation.se.
They have sent me the Reference and Installation manuals.
It's RTFM time folks!

Mister Coalbran

You should remember that people answering
do it ON THEiR OWN TIME AND FREE OF CHARGE
and before posting unhelpful replies they always do their homework

You should think twice before being sarcastic and offending people who spend/waste time trying to help You

I expected better from a former IBM employee

Hi Enrico
Just saying that this sort of response is not productive. Didn't mean it to come out as abrasive - forgot to use smileys. icon_sad.gif

It is no longer "my organisation" as you correctly point out.
The IBM guys were actually very helpful and really had no responsibilty to be so.
By following the information that they obtained - presumably from their software index, nothing in the load, I checked there first - I was able to track back to the current supporters of the product.
The guys at Nexus and Verimation AB were also fast in response and helpful.

Well Steve, it's a fucking bullshit story. No smileys can help you out of this sh.. storm. Being an arrogant prick is not going to help. Or is it?

I don't believe the use of the word "unhelpful" warrants this kind of response.
