Equivalent SPLIT1R function for AS/400

we know that SPLIT1R function of ICEMAN can split a file dynamically into several files on mainframe.
Is there an equivalent function provided on AS/400?
I need to split a file into several files on AS/400....

Or find an AS/400 forum, or somewhere to ask questions where there will be people who know about AS/400.

You could always write a program to do it. You know the AS/400 has a COBOL compiler (or two).
