Can a compiled COBOL program be reverse engineered?

The source we have are gone along with the resigned employee, is there anyway we can decompile the load he has?

Back-ups. Court action. Criminal action. COBOL source recovery service (use your favourite search engine to locate). Dissassemble and work hard.

The first is the cheapest and most obvious. I hope you have those.
