the space utilization of SYS1.LOGREC

I need to know the space utilization of sys1.logrec, but seems not easy to do that, does have any command or tools can see this information?Thanks.

If you have appropriate authorization, ISPF option 3.4 works quite well and is very easy. If you do not have appropriate authorization, Bill's question becomes EXTREMELY relevant.

Yup, like Robert said, I or S command on ISPF worked for me too on the LOGREC file.

Thanks for reply,beacuse SYS1.LOGREC DSORG=PSU,and PSU not supported by SMS, and in ISPF 3.4 always displayed 100% used, seems need another way to check the useage of this DATASET, thanks.

what if LOGREC has been assigned to a log stream ???

Just curious, it wroks well, but always display 100% used, I just try to figout how to konw this kind of dataset(DSORG=PSU) utilization, thanks for reply icon_smile.gif

sys1.logrec is PREFORMATTED ...

and for any PREFORMATTED dataset the utilization will be alway 100%

Thanks for your ansower.
Actually this question I heard from one of my frined who is a system programmer, and for his job purpose.I said curious because is not my job, and I want help my frined and also curious this question, and I don't thinks this question stupid, for this question, I was think there must be some way to check this kind of datasets utilizaiton, form your ansower, inspired me another thought to see this quesion, thanks again!

So basically you asked a question on a subject you know nothing about, without doing any research (which would have told you that SYS1.LOGREC is preformatted and hence ALWAYS 100% allocated), and the question you posed makes absolutely no sense -- yet you think the question is not stupid?

You REALLY need to stop posting on this forum and use the Beginners and Students Forum until you learn what a professional is and how a professional does research.
