Hello,
At the top of the page is a link to "IBM Manuals". There are CICS manuals there.
Look here:
www.murach.com/books/mainframe.htm
Murach Publishing has excellent books. |

You should realize that training has additional cost apart the time ...
spend more time reading the free manuals from IBM and select only what is relevant to the level of training You want to achieve
or spend money on manuals/books which have already done the screening for You |

Also you must distinguish reference manuals from tutorials. |

Hello,
What do you mean by "support"? This has different meanings in different organizations.
Usually, someone who is not experienced with CICS is not assigned support (what i call support anyway). . .
What are to be the responsibilities for this job? |

Hi Dick,
I mean i am new to CICS administration.
Responsibilities are like resolving issues of short on stroage, transaction looping, startup and shutdown issues etc.
Fixing the issues related to CICS and to maintain CICS regions.
Best Regards,

Hello,
I'm not aware of any particular publication that covers even most of what you want.
Suggest you look thru some of the many problem topics that have been discussed in our forum. Think back to some problem(s) that have happened on your system and then see if something similar was posted here. |
