Hi,

I have a job that uses SORT and I got this message WER493I ZIIP PROCESSOR USED. I know using ziip can reduce cost and can result in improved performance. But the thing is, not all jobs / sort step have this message even though I used almost the same sort parm.

So, basically, I would like to know what is the 'criteria' on how we can utilize the Ziip in a sort step.

There are many factors that are involved in determining which sorts can be offloaded to the zIIP. Depending on your SyncSort installation, additional maintenance may be available in order to permit more sorts to use a zIIP eligible algorithm. Please feel free to contact me offline at alissa.margulies@syncsort.com for more detailed information.
