Hi,
In OPC, one application (XXX) with 10 jobs was scheduled in Curent plan (CP).There were some applications dependent on the XXX. Application XXX was running and 9 jobs were shown in completed status and one job which is before END job went to status 'R'.
Could you please let me know why status R has come even when the application is running. |

Surely something that YOU should look at in the manuals perhaps.
Status is Ready - it is waiting for something, an initiator, or special resource, or ............ |

I don't suppose that you have considered looking this up in the manual for yourself, have you ? |

The extended status is the second character in the status field.
See appendix B in

Hi Peter..
I am not sure of it...He just told me that it might be OPC bug..When we scheduled the same application next day the jobs ran fine...They didn't go to status 'R'.After that I confirmed it might be OPC bug... |

If you are that sure that it is a bug then you must open a ticket with IBM. |

This is sometimes used when the person who should know does not. . .
Unfortunately, there are many new people and (more unfortunately) some managers who don't know any better and accept this excuse. . .
