Hi Mac,
Have you ever thought of putting a section on Self Evalution for members.
There should be a section where some online tests according to some level say Beginners, Average, Expert, can be established......
This will impact drastically in participation to this site, as well as number of HITS to the site....
From members point of view....they will also have some good practice in evaluating themselves....Members looking for free sites to evaluation before any exam, will also find a place in FORUM Itself.....
I m sure it is going to make a markable difference to the participation in Forum...
What say....Members.....ur suggestions are very precious towards it.....
Regards,
Priyesh. |

Though its an additional load to Mac to set the test according to the level,it will reflect good impact to the groups. |

I don't get this at all!
What tangible benefit would this offer to the participating members of this Forum? |

Hello.
This is very interested proposion.
I can see some problems:
who can verifies users ?
who users will be experts ?
who is an expert(people which say it themselves) ?
But the idea, after detail setting, will give us better exchange of experience.
Many regards. |

Hello Friends,
It seems good having different aspects of a suggestion.

Suggestion was to never classified members in any skill based category.
What I meant to say, to classify exam level in to categories, which should be open for all.
USER should be allowed to part in any category they feel comfortable with.
Regards,
Priyesh. |

I find really interesting this suggestion and so, I want to post my point of view.
Most of us has studied in a classroom(but every course is really expensive to do and don't give you all) or directly(that's the mainly method) from manuals but, in each case, the difference between us is the ingenium, practice and professional passion to reach our goal.
So, I'm in accord with Priyesh to certified the knowledge of members but don't forget that, as we can see in this forum, there are several way to be an "Expert"(google's method first)!
I find McMillan's method of "Member of the Month" the best way to certify that all the time that you spend in this forum is not lost both to ask and to reply.
I think that the really expert or lovers of this site is who search before posting and ask only when someone really needs(...and..with clear question).
This is only a my opinion and all the comment are really wellcome. |

I never aimed at getting ones knowledge certified. My main motive to suggest this was for any user to evaluate him/herself.
I never wished any certificate for the USER who is scoring high in those test. Thats why Its SELF-EVALUATION TEST...Not a competition.

This is the point where no one see other way than you.

Hi Priyesh... I think I've misunderstood your propose...or some bad interpretations swich me off from original idea.
If you want to have a part of this forum to check your(our) knowledge I think that is not a problem... I'm in accord with you...
I want to apologize to you(it's the 3th time today... I really need holiday) |
