Sort a PS File using File Manager

Hi,

I need to sort a PS file using File Manager.

Can anyone suggest me how can I do my task?

What documentation have you read, and what are the problems ?

Hi Expat,

I have not read any documentation but I have some experience with File Manager.

My requirement is, I have a PS file with 4 Million records (LRECL=416) and I want to extract/copy records from the above file to another PS (new) file based on particular field value using File Manager.

I am expecting 280 records only for a particular value.

There are lots of other ways to do this but I have only File Manager option with me now.

Please let me know how can I achieve this.

I think that I would use the sort product that is installed at your site.

Hi Expat,

I also agreed with you. But I do not have proper JOB card details to submit my own job.

Please advise me how can I fulfill my requirement with File Manager.

Sure,

Using "Edit Template" in Edit mode I have specified list of desired key values to copy desired records from the 4 Million records.

I have read the documentation and followed different steps mentioned in the documentation.
