There are literally dozens (or more) CICS ABEND CODES which could be raised within a given CICS Task.
Solving them the old fashioned way is via DUMP diagnostics or, if you have a mirror-image region of Production, then use a 3rd-party debugger to find the culprit.
One of the more popular abends is ASRA, which can mean many things, with bad decimal-data (S0C7) being the likely reason, followed closely by a protection exception (S0C4).
However, beyond ASRA, there are the CICS ABEND CODES which certainly can be raised.
As far as answering your question further, there's just too much to list.
Welcome to the world of CICS Tech Support!
Regards,
Bill |

Hello,

Abends are abends - they can occur anytime anywhere. We test to reduce/eliminate them in production.
You've already been told how they appear n the "spool" - the Abend Code is visable.
What you are looking for is completely unclear. Keep in mind that we are not able to train you - that is for you/your organization. |

Hello,
Your questions are going "downhill" (i.e. making less sense). . . .
Your questions are about CICS abends (or so they appeared to be).
CICS is online, not batch. . .
From this point on, you need to do some research on your own and post back here if you find some information you do not understand. Someone will be able to clarify. |

the sentence looks like local jargon,
why not ask Your peers what they mean
abends are always exceptions,
never seen a normal abend
anyway under CICS the user will get on the screen something like
Code: |
transaction xxxx abend zzzz some more text |
usually a dump is being produced,
the dump should be printed and analyzed
the manual will tell for each abend code the cause
and in some case the additional steps to be taken to correct the error |
