Hi chaitanya,
As far as i know in one of my projects,we used to run/record macros/keystrokes which is gng to automatically keep on pressing enter key and thus preventing session from getting disconnected even when u r away from the computer.
I don`t think u can change some settings manually in the panel to avoid that.
If anyone has used/using some other method, please share with us.

Thanks
sunny

In some emulators, we have an option called "keep session Alive".

Hi Siva,

Just type '&10' in ST command line. It will lock system and refresh every 10 secs which keeps alive. You can unlock again by pressing SHIFT+ESC.

Thanks,
Reddy

Hi siva,

Also in some emulators there is an option called maximum wait time which I believe defines the time for which the session can remain idle before getting disconnected. Also you need to have the access to modify it. Hope this helps. Any modifications/enhancements most welcome.

Thanks,
Andy(Anuradha).

Lock is working but unlock is not working for me. "Auto complete... 10 sec" is coming on the command line. If I press shft+esc then the blank screen is coming and what ever I type it will lead to ST command line only. In ST command line if I type anything it displays the message "command unrecognized" so that I have to disconnect and connaect again.

Hi

Auto update is one way of keeping a TSO session from timing out. This is done by typing the '&nn' command on the SDSF command line, the '&' followed by a time period (10 is the minimum on most installations). '&10' - This is equivalent of hitting the Enter key every 10 seconds.
To release SDSF from 'Auto-Update' mode, press the ATTN key. The ATTN key works differently on different emulators. On some emulators, just pressing the ESC button does it, but on most emulators that I have personally worked on (Extra, IRMA etc.) ATTN works by depressing and holding the SHIFT key and pressing the ESC button twice in quick succession.

You may have a different keyboard setting for your emulator. On most installations, PA1 is the the default equivalent of ATTN key. If so, check the key maps to find the key mapped to PA1, and try that key.

HTH,
Panda.

Hi all, Sorry to revive an older post but I have been having a problem. I have been using the auto update without issues for years now. We just upgraded to Java2 and since then autoupdate will not work. You can type the command &10 or any other value and it just sits there. It doesn't hang or freeze but it also doesn't go into an autoupdate mode. Does anyone have any info about this problem? Thanks!
