Usage of tables in cobol

Hi,

Please make your point clear, r u interested in cobol tables or db2 tables.

Cobol tables are used for temporary storage limited to that program but db2 tables are permanent as used by many programs.

Can you tell us whether you are talking about the COBOL tables or DB2 tables so that we can help you with their usage.

If you mean cobol tables they are created by using the occurs clause, present version COBOL supports 7 dimensions. They are mainly used for cross reference or lookup tables.
