How to code User ABENDing Jobs?

Hi All, can any one of you explain to me How to write User Abending jobs. It would be great if you give some sample code.

Hi,

A program that abends itself .. right?

You need to move say 16 in RETURN-CODE register. This should abend your program.

But, you might like to create an error/dianostic message logs before you abend the program.

In most of the installations, you will find standard error routines ( prorams ) that do this for you. Before reinventing the wheel its a good idea to find out wheather these programs exists.
