hi all,

any anyone define

1. what is cics region ? ( with ex... cics region name )
2. what is the difference b/w cics region & transaction id ?
3. there is any specified no. of cics region or trans id ?

CICS Region means collection of online users using the same shop. Like that you can run more than one region in a single mainfame.

Transaction ID is the unique name given for a task. Region is a subsystem. All transaction are running under the region.

No Limit, but depending on the server capacity.
