hi all,

my file has a record length 0f 10,100...is there is any specific command to go to particular column(ie. to see data from column 5000 to 5072) directly instead for pressing f11 all the times....if command is given it will be really helpful...

thanx in advance..

Just type 5000 in the command line and press F11...

Just to add to Ramya's advice. Make sure the left most byte of the record displayed in the panel is the first byte of the record.

If the panel is positioned at the 1000th byte of the rec, entering 5000 then PF11 will position you at the 6000th byte of the rec (give or take a byte).
