ctsvasu,
Abend Code starting with "U" indicates it is a USER Abend or SHOP defined abend code.
To find out the reason behind it, you need to look for relevent error messages associated with the abend code or abended step. Or else refer to your system manual.
Regards,
Priyesh. |

AN INVALID SIGN WAS DETECTED IN A NUMERIC EDITED SENDING FIELD IN progname ON LINE NUMBER ssss.
Resolution:
Check the program logic to ensure that the data item involved is properly initialized. Also check for redefinitions or group moves that might have moved invalid data to the character to the character string.
Thanks!

Hi,
Contains a MOVE statement at the indicated line number which attempted to move a signed numeric edited data item to a signed numeric or num eric edited receiving field. However, the sign position of the
sending data item contained an invalid sign character for
the corresponding PICTURE clause. The job step is
cancelled.
Solution : Check program to ensure that dta item is properly initialised, check redefinitions.
Thanks,
KS |
