I created a dataset using File-Aid 3.5, and copied data in to it usinf FA 3.3.
The dataset from which i am copying is a IAM dataset. Then i am not able to browse the dataset in FA.
The error is "Insufficient storage"
TSO $IAM is not active in our system. |

Sangameswar -
FILEAID is a memory globber...it needs lots of storage.
You are geting this error becos you have openend lot of applications or you have opened applications which like FILEAID need lot of storage.
Resolution is.....close the applications one by one till FILEAID has sufficient storage.....sometime you need to logoff completely to make it work....
...unfair, i know..... |

Hi Sangameshwar,
Suman you made a valid point.
FileAId runs as a single dialog under ISPF.
FileAid executes in storage available above the 16 megabyte line on systems running MVS/XA or MVS/ESA.
Check the storage size of your IAM file.
If anyone comes up with a solution please add on. |
