Hi Manitesh_kumar,
From FileAID primary option menu, make use of Option 3.3.Copy (Selective record copying for all file types including PDS members).
Hope this helps.
Correct me if I am wrong. |

Inside option 3.3 of fileaid, give:
Selection criteria usage ===> T
Then use option 1 where you'll have to give the following:
Number of records to select ===> 20 |

Hi Manitesh_kumar,
I know a crude method for solving ur problem. First create a Flat file of Record Length 20, then U try to copy a file to this Flat file using File-Aid.
Only 20 characters of the mother file will be copied to the child file but ofcourse U will get a warning '"FROM" DATASET SPE RCD(S) TRUNCATED/PADDED'
Cool!!
Thanks,
Mani |
