Hello,

we use a table for logging incoming XML-Requests.
But we store the data stream in a VARCHAR column. Not a pretty good idea but set up long time ago.
Now I'd like to examine some parts of these XML streams. The content of this element, the content of that attribute, ... So I'd like to convert the VARCHAR data to XML.
Sample
Code:
<ALPHA bravo="one" charlie="two" delta="three"><ECHO foxtrott="four"/></ALPHA>
<ALPHA bravo="eins" charlie="zwei" delta="drei"><ECHO foxtrott="vier"/></ALPHA>

I assume it's a very simple function and pretty easy to use. But I cannot find anything helpful it in the manuals, at google, in the german "Denne", ...
I'd be very thankful if anybody can give me a hint how to convert VARCHAR in XML by Db2 z/OS.
Thanks a lolt.
