Hi All,
I saw lot of uncommitted read messages in log ,followed by lock escalation.
When I surfed about lock escaaltion ,I see articles describing locksize "any" as only reason, some states lockmax system ,numlkts, numlkus.I'm bit confused here.
When/why lock escaaltion occur. What is the reason for it?
locksize any ->acquires page level locks but manual states row level locks can escalate to tablespace lock. |

30 seconds on Google using search 'what is locksize in db2' provides ample information.
Obviously this should have been raised in the DB2 forum! |

Moved to db2 forum ..
This occurred when there is not enough memory to acquire any additional locks , so do analysis further to see what type of locks are present on the tables and then adjust the locklist parameter accordingly by consulting with DBA. |
