I am using CA7 on z/OS. I have a job whose execution start time is a calculated value, based on an external schedule (a trading market) and user preference.
So for example, here is the resulting DEMAND statement for today: DEMAND,JOB=ADVJ240G,SCHID=12,DATE=23114,TIME=1425,DOTM=1430
Unfortunately, we are getting 'late paged' for this job at 1330pm, vs. what I had expected to be 1430. My Scheduling team says "there is no way to get late paging for a demanded job." But that is precisely what I need.
Is my scheduling team correct, that this does not work for demanded jobs? If so, is there a different 'creative' solution that will page me if the job is late?

What did the vendor tell you when you asked them? If your site is paying maintenance, you are entitled to support and they are, by far, the best source of information for you. Personally, I haven't used CA-7 since 1998 so I have no clue about your question nor access to any manuals.
Prompting for replies after two days is NOT an effective way to get responses on this -- or any -- forum. People who respond are the ones that have knowledge of the subject, time to reply, and an interest in replying. Prompting the way you have reduces the likelihood of getting any replies since nobody wants to be harassed. Replies may take hours to months to show up and that is entirely normal. If you need a response on a time line, convince your management to hire a consultant to help you.
