We are using an interim solution for storing our source members(Jcl, Cobol, etc) in PDSE datasets. I would like to be able to compare the current version of a member to the prior version. Currently, I manually browse the -1 member and copy it to another PDS so that I can compare it to the current version. I would like to be able to have a simpler process to copy the non-current version to a pds but I haven't found anyway to do this.

Is there an IBM utility that will do this in a batch mode?

Can rexx do this in ISPF?
Thanks,
Mike

PDSE support by itself does not provide any way to maintain changed versions of its members. It can be done only via some additional software solution.

So, the rest of answer to your question depends on: how the member versions are maintained in your system?

Update:
PDSE Version 2 has this support included.
Need to check the updated docs...

This PDSE version is 2. I came across IBM's File Manager that has a utility that will compare 2 generations/versions of a member so that is helpful. I still would like to easily view the different versions of a member. I have clists I created that quickly let me browse or edit a pds member. I am hoping there's a way to quickly get to different versions of a given member.
