I would like to demand job out to run later in the even before i leave for the day. To avoid it showing up on our LATE queue, I need to change the DEADLINE TIME to same or close to SUBMIT TIME but there's no parameter. I would have to demand and then go in and update it. Is it possible? If so, how?
DEMAND,JOB=AB123456,SET=NTR,TIME=1200,DEPJOB=YZ123456,DOTM=1200 |

In order for us to help you, how about you tell us which job scheduler you are using? I'm guessing maybe CA-7 but that is merely a guess.
And have you contacted the vendor to ask them? If not, that should be the FIRST place you ask since they know a whole lot more about their product than we do on this -- or any -- forum. |

The quality of answers you get from the vendor tends to be accurate and knowledgeable for the product you are asking about. Plus, your company is paying for this support so why not use it?
The quality of answers you get on this -- or any -- forum depends upon people having the interest, time, and knowledge to respond and hence varies quite a lot in quality. In my particular case, I haven't used CA7 since 2013 so any response I gave would be dated and based upon what I can find with a Google search (which you can also do). |
