In order to modernize and enhance security connections between the mainframe and Web enabled devices (eg. desktops, laptops, tablets, or other )
I am looking for valid alternatives to the TN3270.
I ask if anyone has already had experience and I seek advice in this regard.
I have a small company with a few hundred users connected, so necessarily, to pay attention to costs but also to reliability.
Summarizing : reliability, good session Manager, with attention to costs.
At the time I was considering Data21 with 3270 Web Gateway.
I thank those who want to help me !!!
regards

Thanks for contribution.
But Attachmate is a terminal emulator or SnaServer software too ?
maybe a package including both ?
I'm interested to replace Snaserver only, keeping the same emulator, if possible.
Someone help to more explanation ?
thanks |

The high cost of TN3270 led us to replace it a few years ago. We use a browser-based 3270 called Virtel from Syspertec. |

I fear that 3270 is the emulator, I’ m looking for an alternative to Microsoft Sna Server, my emulator is ok.
has anyone tried or know valid alternatives? |

you can secure your os ( like z/os or linux ) connections easily.
I can't understand why you need alternative solution for tn3270. |
