MICS reports show ancient BCDS entries from 23 years ago for datasets that no longer exist, cataloged or uncataloged.
Our new best shore storage engineers cannot find these records nor the VOLSER that is indicated using standard HSM/BCDS commands and are puzzled why MICS scans of the BCDS are finding these records that they cannot find in HSM.
The customer has been being billed for the storage represented by these entries for 23 years. The issue arose during an cleanup/sunset effort initiated by the customer.
I noticed an old thread about the same issue respecting the MCDS. Are there special audit commands that can find and/or eradicate orphaned entries in the BCDS?
Thanks, |

Yes there are two Audit Commands I can think of. See the old thread and replace MIGRAT with BACKUP. From the Output show (sample) results here, please. |
