Hi

I am new to IMS and i am trying to understand what is the control block SMB and PDIR. i know what is SMB and PDIR but what exactly these two control block is doing? what is the relationship between SMB and PDIR?

My understand is that SMB is associated each transaction so it save all the transaction in the scheduler then it send to application. And PDIR store all the PSB and together with SMB the application get PSB and message transaction information from SMB and PDIR. Am i understand correctly?

Thank you!!
