Hello,

I am new to mainframe. I used the main JOBSLIB to and submitted a member from there directly. The same member was inactive from Database.
There were some variables defined in it.

MSGCLASS= %A77
%A77=(1,1)

CLASS=%AA0
%AA0=S

Later when the job was made active from Database, the JCL in the long term plan or current plan is no more showing the variables, instead showing the values directly in the JCL. What possibly would have gone wrong here?

I can go back and regenerate the JCL, But, I did not understand what caused this. icon_neutral.gif

What is the 'database' you're talking about? Is it a job scheduler such as CA7 or OPCA? Those variables must get populated somehow and submitting the member directly obviously doesn't do that.

You really must speak to your local support
