Our mainframe is going away. One of the tasks I am performing is to extract the CSD. However, in the event we had to reactivate the mainframe, I would need to restore the CSD. I am using the DFHCSDUP utility to extract the CSD, but I don't see any way to restore it. Some other utility? |

What is the issue with the extracted data? That gives you the definitions you require as input to DFHCSDUP.
To restore, first, use IDCAMS to define a new CSD, then use DFHCSDUP to INITIALIZE the new CSD and then another DFHCSDUP step to input the extracted definitions
Alternatively, dump the DHFCSD using DFDSS rather than extracting and RESTORE it, if required.
