Hi All, I have been working as mainframe production support from last 3 years, after self learning I have acquired little knowledge in COBOL, Jcl, IMS, DB2. So I was hoping if any of can help me with right kind of books or materials where I can learn and practise.
And since I'm just a beginner, I'm hearing this quite often that there won't be much scope for Mainframe developers in coming years, can you please share your thoughts on this too.

It is worth signing up for the IBM Redbooks newsletters

If your site has a subscription it is worth looking at the Cheryl Watson tuning letters:

Also keep an eye on the www.share.org/ website and blogs as they have free education at times.
