Succinctly, when ECSA was bumped by +10MB an open source app called JBOSS failed. (I have no prior knowledge or experience w/ JBOSS.)

Reducing EPVT by 10MB from 1518M to 1508M broke the app. The app has an extensive set of Java options however I have neither the experience/knowledge to tweak them to achieve a positive result. i.e. Reduce the EPVT requirement of the app. The app was running REGION=0M.
Q: What solutions other than backing out the ECSA change w/ an IPL could have been pursued?
Q: In your opinion was this likely caused by limited extended high PVT (LSQA, SWA..etc)?
