Hi ,

I have two file which i want to compare to find which byte/position of records changed.

I did compare file using ISPF 3.13 where we can provide option 'compare type' which has value like file, line, word, byte.

I tried using word and noticed line marked with 'MC', 'DC', 'IC' ,'D' but couldn't find readable.

is any better way of doing this?

Please, clarify, with examples:
1) what did you get?
2) what do you want to get?

P.S.
Don’t forget to use code tags in your examples

Do you have or tried COMPAREX? That should give you the offsets for mismatch data. With the any SORT product, it will be tricky and with restricted solution.
