Hi
I have a case where a job processes a file from a different application.
The job is triggered by another job but the dataset is requirement to that job.
We are not going to get the dataset in future.
I want to NOEXEC this job and if no issues, later purge it.
Can I just NOEXEC it. Or do I need to NOEXEC and remove the dataset requirement.
If I just NOEXEC it, will the job come to queue and wait for the dataset? |

I had seen that link but unfortunately its not clear.
It says "NOEXEC means job will come into CA7 as per it s schedule or by any trigger job and will be marked as completed without execution."
Does it mean it will come to queue and wait for the requirements OR will it just mark itself complete as it comes in queue irrespective of whether requirements are met.
Any advice is appreciated |

is there an ETT set up ?
If you don’t get the data set then job won’t trigger anyways. On top of it making it NOEX or DUMB won’t wait for anything and even if data set comes it won’t be running . This is my understanding.
Send an email to site group who do scheduling and see what they have to say. |
