Hi,
i am trying to convert ZD to signed zoned decimal. but getting syntax errors. could someone please help me in this regard?
i need to convert 9(4) to S9(4) . below is the sequence i tried but it is giving me syntax error.
1,4,ZD,ZS,Length=4

Look up Appendix C. Data format descriptions in the Manual.
ZD - (zoned decimal, signed). Each digit of the decimal number is converted into its 8-bit EBCDIC representation. The
sign indicator replaces the first four bits of the low order byte of the number. |

Where did you get ZS from? You made it up, surely? Because it is not in the manual. Someone of your experience should know that you do NOT make up your own syntax. |
