Need to create cobol copybook for given IDMS record.

No. We do not know the format of the data in the IDMS record so how do you expect us to be able to create anything?

There are no copybook as such. The "copybook" is effectively created by the IDMS precompiler.

Steve? Steve Myers? How are you brother? I had no idea you knew one little thing about CA-IDMS. I've been an IDMS DBA since 1985 and a damn good one. Code slinger too - COBOL and Assembler.

FINALLY going to retire here in August 2020.

Glad to see that you are still posting. I love that little Assembler TSO Command you wrote. SHOWDD or something like this. I used it to create a REXX BIF for dynamically inserting DSNs into TSO session concatenations - especially SYSPROC and SYSEXEC!
