| I am new to maintaining the SMTP application at my shop, and need to add a new userid to the security table member that is defined. My question is can I add the userid, and then run a command that would dynamically update SMTP, or do I have to wait for a restart or SMTP for the update to take effect? |

| The MODIFY SMTP command in the IP System Administrator Commands manual in the Communications Server bookshelf does NOT have any options to reload the security table. Hence you need to stop and restart SMTP to pick up any changes to the security table. |
