We run a very vanilla z/OS 1.13 system. For the first time application folks are asking about using SCLM. It appears on the ISPF menu but when selected displays screen ISRNOSLM "Software Configuration and Library Manager not installed"
I have not been able to find anything to help me with this...any help or links to the info on how to install/enable it is most appreciated. |

Read Redbook SG24-7592 titled Application Lifecycle Management with SCLM on System z which includes information on setup. |

That's a 1400 page redbook that I've been looking through for an hour so far. Do you know the topic or chapter or page for the setup info?
Thanks. |

It took less than 5 minutes in the index to find this reference on page 1050 of the Redbook:
Quote: |
25.4 Installing and configuring the host
The information provided in this section is not meant to replace the comprehensive instructions found in the IBM SCLM Administrator Toolkit Installation and Customization Guide, but rather to provide helpful information to supplement the installation instructions. For complete software and hardware requirements and installation instructions, refer to the IBM SCLM Administrator Toolkit Installation and Customization Guide. |
You probably need to reference the ISPF bookshelf for your version of z/OS and look at the Software Configuration and Library Manager (SCLM) Guide and Reference manual first. A quick Google search on installing sclm found about 38,200 hits and also found me Redbook SG24-7392 titled Getting Started with SCLM: A Practical Guide to SCLM and SCLM Advanced Edition . |
