Hi there,
for my collegues that are not so familiar with the DB2 (v11 z/OS) system catalog and its tables I'm searching for an ERM diagram that shows all the catalog tables and their dependencies / references.
Has anybody got an idea where I can find something like that - or how I can generate one / somebody can generate one for me?
A Visio- or similar file would be very nice but a PDF or SVG or ordinary picture would be helpful as well.
I tried to generate one using DB-Visualizer (v9, Build #1902) like I do with fewer application tables. But - i suppose due to the large number of tables (117) - the generator doesn't come to an end :-(
I've got a list of the tables and all their columns as a PDF like
But this is only tabular and without references / dependencies, foreign key relations.
Attached you find a anonymized sample how I'd like the result to be. Hope you understand what I'm looking for.
It's not necessary to have a diagram of the v11 catalog tables. Mostly a diagram of v10 or v9 would be sufficient.
Thank you very, very much

an ERM diagram generated automatically will just confuse the ideas of the audience,
there too many fields that are used by DB2 but are not needed for a general overview and understanding of the db2 catalog structure
most of the db2 training courses have something like that available |
