Hello All,
Can some one help me out with these errors in my JCL?
1.Invalid frequency code in dataset name
2.Invalid dataset descriptor in dataset name
3.Invalid dataset type in dataset name
I can't put my dataset name here..If any of you have encountered the above errors, please help. Thanks |

Well, make up a datasetname that you can show us which fails in the same way. Copy/paste the full message, with the message-code.
If you can't do that, then there's no point in asking here. |

Have you looked up in the JCL manual to check what constitutes a valid dataset name? |

I came to know that the errors were due to non compliance with our internal dataset naming standards. Any way , thanks for the replies. |
