I need first and last day of previous month in the follwoing format
'+020150901' and '+020150930'. Please advice how to achive this using Sort |

A few years ago you were in a shop that used Syncsort rather than DFSORT. Has that changed? |

Also it is a pity because DFSORT has some date functions which do exactly what you want. If you locate them in the DFSORT manual, you could try to see if they work in SyncSORT. You never know what's there but not documented.
