Hi ,
Not sure I am posting the question under Right Topic !!
What is the advantage in having dataset in LLA but Not in Link list .
My understanding is when you put a dataset in Linklist , you can skip coding STEPLIB/JOBLIB in JCL . A Program can be located in search order.
When dataset is in both LLA and LINKLIST a cache exist for dataset entry where the module can be located without an I/O .
But what is the advantage when you do not have dataset in linklist but have LLA entry of a dataset !!
Please suggest .
