Mainframe ID for IMS DB

Hi,

I want to know, I m having one mainframe Id. Can i use the same to access IMS DB machine or do we need any other Id for IMS access.

I mean if I am having enough privileges, can I use the same ID for mainframe & IMS servers.

That will probably depend upon the site. Some sites use a single ID for as much as they can, while other sites use individual user IDs for each product. Check with your site support group.
