Need to corrupt a linear dataset

For our disaster recovery, i need to corrupt a linear vsam dataset. Is there a simple way to do this? with repro, rexx, dfsort (altseq) etc?

DFSORT OVERLAY with X'05' in some of the columns.

Write a quick spec to do a simple update to the data and give it to a Java programmer on a short-term contract.
