Hi Team,
Have you done Pre-loading of IMS Loads as part of performance tuning .If yes ,could you please advice various verification methods to make sure whether concerned IMS program is pre-loaded into main memory or not.

Now I got it..
1.TSO ISRDDN LOAD <Program Name>.
2.From the manual - " You specify the names of the modules to be loaded in member DFSMPLxx of IMS.PROCLIB."
I have gone through the redbook manual but some how missed the above the said statements.

I know the DBA group here uses the automatic memory manager built into IMS. The system will keep track of the most used programs and keep them loaded.
The tuning they do is to adjust the parameters of how many can be pre-loaded, how long they'll stay loaded, and how often they get called before staying loaded.
They also load two of our databases to memory because they are read only and referenced in every program. |
